Description
The following effort is planned to be placed on a 4-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Contract, utilizing a combination of Firm Fixed Price and Time and Material Provisions for the refurbishment of the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled V ehicle (HMMWV) in Kuwait. The models to be refurbished under this action are currently planned as the M997, M1114, M1151, M1152 and M1165. The refurbishment work will be defined as inspecting and restoring the vehicles to Army 10/20+ standards. The effo rt includes identifying and requisitioning repair parts required as a result of inspection, testing, and maintenance requirements as provided for in the applicable Technical Manuals/Technical Bulletins. U.S. Army Theater Commands will identify HMMWVs requ iring Refurbishment. HMMWVs will be refurbished at contractor provided facilities in Kuwait (required to be within about 75 KM of Camp Arifjan). HMMWVs will undergo a joint contractor/government inspection prior to and after completion of the refurbishm ent effort. A push package of parts to support HMMWV vehicles will be provided to the contractor to get the effort started. All other repair parts will be obtained through the Government supply system. The mission of the refurbishment is to repair HMMWV s to allow them to be redeployed in support of Army actions. The refurbishment efforts must be completed within a required delivery schedule provided in the solicitation. ESTIMATED MINIMUM and MAXIMUM QUANITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS: HMMWV (MIN 420, MAX 8,640**) *Minimum and Maximum Contract Quantities are planning estimates only and do not obligate the government to award at those quantity levels. ** The Maximum is 8,640, however, can reach a potential of 13,000. Changes may be made to this requirement; please check the website daily for updates. A Pre-Solicitation conference is planned for 19 April 2007, to be held in the metro Detroit area.
