- The Cryptologic Systems Group (CPSG) intends to award on a sole source requirements contract for fixed-price services to return to original manufacturer's operating specifications part # K890228, stock # 1560ND90038J, AARE WACS Air Compressors to Meggitt Airdynamics, Inc., 2616 Research Dr., Corona, CA 92882-6917. The government will provide two (2) each part # 939D221-1, stock # 6105ND900790J, AARE 3780RPM3.5HPMotor (with gearbox) for use in testing, evaluating, and certifying that the air compressors are returned to operational condition. The K890228 AARE Compressor is a key component of the Advanced Atmospheric Research Equipment (AARE). The compressor pumps whole air into a sphere container for future analysis at a commercial laboratory, with 4 compressors being used at one time. Rough dimensions for the compressor are as follows: Length, 12 inches; Width, 11 inches; Height, 7 inches; Weight, Approx. 11.5 lbs. Required Delivery: 2007 - 2009. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only source IAW 10 USC 2304(c) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one (1) responsible source. The Government intends to make an award by the end of May 07. No technical data/drawings/technical orders are available. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify its interest and capability to the Contracting Officer within five days of this publication. See Note 22.
