- This notification modifies the presolicitation notice issued on March 15, 2007. The presolicitation conference scheduled on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in Norfolk, VA. Please contact darva.gruber@navy.mil to obtain access to the base. Anticipate release of draft solicitation by Thursday, March 29, 2007. This issuance is a follow on to sources sought notice, reference number N0018907RCARIBHUSB, posted on 14 September 2006. The Government requires husbanding services for ports in North America (to exclude the United States, U.S. Virgin Isle and Puerto Rico) and South America. FISC Norfolk intends to issue a solicitation for a husbanding service provider (HSP) for various types of U.S. Navy and other Government Vessels. Government vessels expected to utilize the resultant contract include Class I (small craft ships with 40 crewmembers or less) to Class V (Aircraft Carriers). Services will consist of, but not limited to, trash removal, collection/holding/transfer (CHT) sewage removal, waste oil and aggregate water removal, fresh potable water, pilotage, tugboat services, line handler services, crane services, brow (gangway) rental, cargo drayage/free time/detention services, water taxi services, vehicle rental (sedans and buses), paint float rental, forklift services, telephone services (landline and cellular), and relief services as detailed in the performance work statement included in solicitation N00189-07-R-0022. The solicitation will include provisions for a base year with the option of four additional one-year periods. The solicitation will be pursued using full and open competition procedures. Solicitation issuance is anticipated on or around 15 March 2007 and will be posted to the Government Point of Entry (GPE) for proposal requests and information website ?Federal Business Opportunities or www.fbo.gov. All future amendments to the solicitation shall be posted on this same website. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at FISC Norfolk, Norfolk Virginia for all interested vendors.
