Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY (SOURCES SOUGHT) AND NOT A SOLICITATION. The U.S. Air Force Academy, located in Colorado Springs Colorado, is seeking information from Small Business ONLY AT THIS TIME, interested in and capable of performing a 1 year Weed Control Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). Proposals are currently not requested. A solicitation is anticipated to be posted on or about 18 Apr 07 for a target 1 Jun 07 performance start date. BPA duration will be 1 year. PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON 5 APRIL 2007. A description of services required is as follows: The contractor shall provide all labor, management, licenses, tools, supplies, equipment and transportation to perform weed control on improved and semi-improved grounds at the United States Air Force Academy. Some of the estimated quantities are as follows: Selective Improved Grounds 132 Acers, Non-selective Semi-improved Grounds 587 Acers, Non-selective Linear Feet Along Sidewalks, Driveways, Curbs and V-Ditches 208,000 Linear Feet, Non-selective Number of Trees 2009, Non-selective Number of Shrubs 7392 and Non-selective Number of Rock/Shrub Beds for Maintenance 305. Special Qualifications: The contractor shall have a licensed pest control manager specifically assigned to support this contract. All employees that apply pesticides must have a current Colorado pesticide application certificate and current training. Some work under this requirement is required to be conducted after normal duty hours. A contractor representative must be available at all times within one (1) hour to meet on the installation with government personnel to discuss problems. Request interested businesses provide information which validates capability to perform contract requirements of this magnitude, volume and level of quality. Specifically, information shall include but is not limited to: (1) ability to service large bases or commercial clients with similar requirements, (2) points of contact for current or past customers with contract requirements of similar size and scope, (3) experience, training, personnel, equipment and resources available to provide these services (4) explanation of how a geographically separated business (outside the local area) would meet requirements in Colorado Springs.
