- The Government anticipates advertising a Request for Quotation type solicitation on April 13, 2007 for installation of a 28? span treated timber bride at Bum Creek and a 40? span treated timber bridge at Shiver Creek on the Pequaywan snowmobile trail north of Virginia Minnesota. The bridge and associated materials (Government Furnished Property) are located at Sand Lake Guard Station north of Virginia MN on US Hwy. #53. Work to include the transportation of two snowmobile bridges 1 bridge- 5 stringers, length 28' weight 950 pounds each and 1 bridge- 3 stringers 40' length weight 2,800 pound, plus decking and railing materials to both project sites at Shiver Creek and Bum Creek. Work also requires the assembly of the two bridges per manufacture's design. Award will be made considering price and past performance factors. Quotation due date is anticipated to be May 14, 2007. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for April 30, 2007. Anticipated award date is May 18, 2007. THIS NOTICE IS A SYNOPSIS ONLY. THE FULL SOLICITATION IS ANTICPATED TO BE ATTACHED TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT ON MARCH 26, 2007. ALL SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME. Directions from Aurora, MN. Follow County Rd #100 south; travel approximately 6 miles to County Rd. #99 and continue traveling south for approximately 6 miles to Forest Hwy # 11. Turn east (left) and travel approximately 3 miles to FR# 1114. Turn south (right) and travel 1 mile to snowmobile trail. Turning right on trail for 0.75 to Bum Creek or turn east (left) 0.75 to Shiver Creek.
