- The Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), on behalf of the Defense Taskforce on Sexual Assault in the Military Services, intends to award a Sole Source contract to SAIC. The purposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is for a technical director to assist the Defense Taskforce on Sexual Assault in the Military Services, in assessing issues related to sexual assault in the military services. Requirements include extensive knowledge of issues regarding sexual assault in the military services, and the ability to interface with high level Government Officials. No solicitation will be issued. This is not a request for competitive quotations. Performance period is from date of award through July 2008. Award is imminent. Interested firms may email capability statements to the attention of Alexander Granados at alexander.granados.ctr@whs.mil. Capability statements must be received within 10 days from publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
