- NASA/GRC has a requirement for: 1.) SIMPRO_F, Simplorer PRO (includes Simplorer, SIM2SIM, Optimizer, Frequency Step Response, C/C++, IEEE Data Interface) Floating License. (Quantity required: one each) 2.) SIMPRO_MF, Simplorer PRO (includes Simplorer, SIM2SIM, Optimizer, Frequency Step Response, C/C++, IEEE Data Interface) (Quantity required: one each). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Ansoft Corporation. NASA Glenn Research Center is currently using Ansoft software for dynamic and finite element modeling of power systems and power electronic components. NASA needs additional floating license and annual maintenance to accommodate the increase in program requirement. No software would be compatible with the existing system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than noon on 04/03/2007 local time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
