Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (BFBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitation to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. This requirement is for a dual purpose multi-cavity Mold Set with inserts (including drawing package) for production of both the MK 54 and MK 55 Connectors in accordance with the Automated Data Lists (ADL?s) 53711-8215561B and 53711-8215672, and associated drawings to be provided with the solicitation package. A quantity of 160 First Articles (80 ea of MK54 and MK55) are required. The First Articles are due 160 days after contract award. The first Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT) sample submission is due 90 days after approval of First Article Testing (FAT). The Government requires 30 days for both FAT and LAT results. The First Article units will not be delivered as part of the production quantity. Data deliverables are in accordance with DD1423?s. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). The solicitation document contains information that has been designated as Militarily Critical Technical Data. Only businesses that are certified under the Joint Certification Program are authorized to receive the package. This acquisition will not be restricted. All sources will be considered. Inspection will be at destination and source with final acceptance at destination. Delivery is required FOB Destination. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the Government considering past performance and price related factors. The solicitation will be available on or about 20 APR 2007at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane website, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any chan ges/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Interested sources must download from the www site listed and must contract Ms Rose Brenner, Code 0562ND, at 812-854-8827, Fax 812-854-3373, or email rose.brenner@navy.mil for a copy of the cd, which contains the automated data lists, drawings, specifications and quality assurance provisions.
