Description

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) has a requirement for inflatable tubes for Lightweight Modular Causeway System (LMCS). The inflatable tubes an essential component of the LMCS, are utilized to provide buoyant support for a floating causeway system. The tubes must meet the material and dimensional specifications. Furthermore, the tubes must incorporate the capability to be rapidly inflatable and deflatable. The tubes are to be pre-connected to the LM CS superstructure and are to be deflated to a state where two tubes can be sufficiently packaged within 6-inch depth x 20ft width x 7ft length recess chamber within the LMCS superstructure.
