Item 0001 NSN: 2840-00-867-5869RV, P/N: 440893. Item Description: CYLINDRIAL SHAPE WHICH HAS FLANGES ON BOTH ENDS WITH BOLTS IN EACH FLANGE. FUNCTION IS TO PROVIDE AN ENCLOSURE OF THE COMBUSTION CANS IN THE HOT SECTION OF THE ENGINE. DIMENSIONS ARE 41.780 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND 15.873 INCHES HIGH. MATERIAL: STEEL OVERALL. Applicable to: TF33 Engine Delivery: 30 September 2009 Quantity: Min 12, Max 30, BEQ 24 EA New Material Solicited. However, surplus offers for new/unused material may be considered The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 12 April 2007. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 14 May 2007. The anticipated award date will be 29 June 2007. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. The solicitation will be available for download only at www.fedbizops.com. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: At this time it is anticipated that this will be sole sourced to United Technologies. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
