- The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Tecnical Information, (OSTI) intends to award a purchase order on a sole-sorce basis to American Institute of Physics, under FAR Part 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR Part 13 will be used. List of Journals: AIP Archival Package Online Journal of Physical & Chemical Reference Data Online Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A &B Print/Online American Journal of Physics Online Geophysics/The Leading Edge Online ECS Digital library Online Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firms ability to provide equivalent online journals and rationale as to why they should be considered, as described above. All interested firms must respond be 1:00 p.m. (EST) April 13, 2007, to Henrietta Thompson, U.S. Department of Energy, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830. Fax number 865-576-3589. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No reimbursemnt for any costs connect with providing capability information will be provided by DOE.
