- INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT-Fort Pierce, Florida, New Construction Excellence, Construction Phase, United States District Court,GS-04P-07-EXC-0071- On Wednesday, May 23, 2007, The United States General Services Administration (GSA), will conduct an Industry Day for prospective Small Business Subcontractors for the construction phase of the new United States District Court in Ft. Pierce , Florida. The Industry Day Session will be conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Fort Pierce City Hall, 1st Floor Commission Chambers, NE corner of U.S. Highway 1 and Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida. The new Courthouse facility is to be constructed and occupied by The U.S. District Court, The U. S. Magistrate Court, The U.S. Bankrupty Court, The U.S. Probation Service, U.S. Pretrial Services, The U.S. Attorney, The U.S. Marshal Service and GSA. The Estimated Cost at Award (ECCA) is between $37,000,000 and $39,000,000. The Architect/Engineering design team will be represented by Merrill Pastor Colgan in association with Pierce Goodwin-Alexander and Linville. The Industry Day is intended to affirm GSA?s recognition of the talent that exists in the Small Business Community and its commitment to opening a dialogue amongst the subcontracting and General Contractor community to foster business relationships. Prospective Small Business Subcontractors will be given an opportunity to network with General Contractor firms to showcase their special talents and abilities as qualified Subcontractors/Consultants. Because GSA is not permitted by law to be a party to contractual relationships between Primes and Subcontractors/Consultants, any contracts that may develop between potential Primes and Subcontractors/Consultants as a result of the Industry Day will be strictly private arrangements between the interested parties based on perceived ability and need.
