- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Ecosystems Research Division (ERD), 960 College Station Road, Athens, GA 30605 intends to award a fixed-priced purchase order for a Particle Size and Zeta Potential Analyzer. The intent of this solicitation is to procure one Particle Size and Zeta Potential Analyzer meeting the minimum technical requirements specified below: Purchase Request: Particle size and zeta potential analyzer Purpose of Instrument: To allow for characterization of colloidal materials in environmental samples. Specifications of Requested Instrument: Unit must be able to perform particle size and electrophoretic mobility (zeta potential) measurements Perform particle size measurements from 0.6nm to micron range and zeta potential measurements on particles from 5nm to micron range. Be usable in both batch and flow through modes (i.e. as a detector in a chromatographic system) Utilize disposable zeta potential cells XP compatible data analysis software Capacity for sample autotitration with autodegassing for titrants Provide installation and training on-site Provide Section 508 Compliance data for computer hardware and software associated with instrument The NAICS code for this procurement is 339111, size standard: 500 employees. The acquisition is unrestricted in regards to business size. Anticipated award date is April 30, 2007. All items shall be delivered to US EPA ERD, 960 College Station Road, Athens, GA within 60 days after receipt of order, FOB Destination.
