- ALL EMAIL RESPONSES MUST SHOW THE SUBJECT LINE AS FOLLOWS: N6228507RC00035, Magnetic Shields, <Insert Your Company Name Here>. The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Division, Contracting Department intends to acquire 2 sets of Magnetic Shields, and 2 each Alternate Inner Shells. Delivery F.O.B. Destination. Shield set will consist of 4 concentric cylinders with detachable endcaps with a central collar extension. Shield material must be MIL SPEC-N-14411 ?comp-1?. Inner shield cylinder must be made of a single sheet of metal. Annealing process must be done in a hydrogen environment with no silica present. Shields must be cleaned per standard HyMu80 profile. Additional requirements are described in the Request For Quotations (RFQ). This notice of intent is a request for competitive quotations. Copies of RFQ will be provided to offerors until 16 April 2007. Copies of Drawings will be provided separately. A firm fixed price order will be awarded as a result of this quotation. This requirement is in support of the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington, DC. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial items containing clauses for commercial items in FAR Part 12. Central Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with DOD and can be obtained at www.ccr.gov. ORCA certification in FAR provision 52.212-3 is required.
