- This synopsis provides notice of the Government's intent to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis with Ophir RF Inc., 5300 Beethoven Street, Los Angeles, CA 90066-7069. The contract type is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price commercial type contract. The Contract Line Item Numbers and descriptions are: CLIN 0001 P/N XRF635 - 1.0 MHZ - 24 MHZ, Four Channel, Solid State, Broadband, High Power Linear RF Amplifier (3 each) to include shipping if any. The required amplifier has four separate available frequency bandwidths that allow the user to manually control a much larger range of communication than a traditional amplifier. The requested amplifier is specifically designed to interface and operate in concert with other Ophir amplifiers used in currently fielded systems. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Ophir RF Inc. is the only known source capable of satisfying the Government's minimum requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 6 April 2007, 1530 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
