- Description
- This synopsis amends a pre-solicitation announcement made Oct 16, 2006 for repairs of up to 15 each AE1107C aircraft gas turbine engines. Sole-source delivery orders will be issued under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-04-G-0015 with Rolls-Royce Corp. of Indianapolis, IN for tear down, inspection, repair, and test of additional AE1107C commercial engines. The work is anticipated to be performed over the next 6 months. Depot-level repair services are anticipated for damaged engines determined to be excluded from maintenance support covering normal wear and tear under a Power-by-the- Hour (PBTH) maintenance contract. Concurrently with the performance of excluded repairs, Rolls-Royce will also perform maintenance work covered by the existing PBTH contract (e.g., incorporation of Class II ECPs, incorporation of reliability improvements, performance of Service Bulletins, and replacement of life-limited parts) in order to maximize efficiency and minimize the time an engine remains ?off wing? and unavailable for military deployment. The estimated value of these additional engines repairs is $14M.
