Description
CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: New Orleans District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, 7400 Leake Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70118 SOLICITATION INFORMATION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the so licitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation, 100% small business set aside, utilizing the associated NAICS code 332999, Standard Size Number of Employees i s 500, SIC code of 3499. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular. Provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors  Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors s hall include with their offer a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. Clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions  Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Req uired to Implement Statues or Executive Orders  Commercial Items, are applicable to this acquisition. ADDITIONAL APPLICABLE CLAUSES BY REFERENCE: 52.243-1 (Changes  Fixed Price); 252.225-7001 (Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program); 252-232-7003 (Electronic Submission of Payment Requests). Also, the full text of a clause may be accessed electronically at this/these addresses: http://farsite.hill.af.mil, http://www.arnet.gov/far, http://ww w.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dars/dfars/index.htm. 5 DESCRIPTION: The New Orleans District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ), W912P8-07-T-0091, for furnishing and delivering of 60 zinc anodes per the specifications below. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price co ntract. SPECIFICATIONS: SCOPE: Furnish and deliver 60 new zinc anodes. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE MATERIALS: Zinc Anode GA-26 from Byrne, Rice and Turner or equal. Description: Dimension: 4 ? inches wide x 14 inches long x 2 ? inches thick. Nominal weight: 26 lbs. Contains single galvanized steel longitudinal straps for welding to hull. Particularly suited for smaller ships, coastal vessels, harbor tugs, etc. Current rating: 1amp -yr., Quantity required: 60 each. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: a. Package for Delivery: The anodes shall be wrapped and/or crated in such a way as to minimize the possibility of damage during shipment. Crates shall be labeled with the delivery address and the contract number, plus a sequential number (in the sample format of Box X of YY) and any special handling instructions. Attached to the exterior of each crate shall be a shipping list that identifies the contents of the crate. b. Delivery: All anodes shall be delivered by truck to the following address: US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS New Orleans District Shop Building Foot of Prytania Street 7400 Leake Avenue New Orleans, Louisiana 70118 Person of contact (POC): Mr. Tim Hart. Phone (504)-862-2135 Contractor shall give two weeks notice to POC (Mr. Tim Hart) before materials are delivered. All anodes shall be shipped together in the same lot. Partial shipments will not be accepted, except for the delivery of replacements for parts, which were not accepted due to damage of defect. The Government will provide unloading equipment. c. Delivery Time: Monday through Thursday from hours of 08:00  15:30. d. Delivery Date: The zinc anodes shall be delivered to the address above, no later than April 30, 2007. e. Inspection upon Delivery: All anodes shall be inspected upon delivery. Any anodes, which are found to be defective, or which have been damaged in shipment shall be returned at the Contractors expense for replacement. f. Replacement of Defective Parts: Any anodes which have been returned for replacement, whether due to defective materials or manufacture, or damage during delivery, shall be replaced at the Contractors expense. g. Payment: Payment in full 30 days after receiving of all anodes in an acceptable condition. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE EQUIPMENTS: The Contractor shall provide manufacturers Operation & Maintenance manual and a Standard Commercial Warranty of the new anodes.
