- This is a Sources Sought notice for Quality Assurance (QA) Inspection Services to support the rehabilitation of five turbine units at Ozark Powerhouse located on hte Arkansas River near Ozark, Arkansas. The fabrication of the turbine shafts, blades, gears, bearings, runner hub and other parts will take place at fabrication sites located in Ulsan, Korea at the Hochang plant and Ljubljana, Slovenia at the Litostroy plant. The Government intends to contract with a QA inspection firm to provide inspecti on services at these sites. The QA inspection firm should experience in equipment standards, heavy machinery castings, and forgings for performing the required inspections. Experience shall include examination methods for weldments and material castings identified in Section VIII of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler Pressure and Vessel Code, specifically the Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT) and Ultrasonic (UT) Methods. The individual(s) shall be experienced in the assessment of indications/defec ts in conformance with the specified or approved acceptance standards and, at a minimum, be American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) TC-1A Level 2 qualified, or equivalent.
