- The US Army Sustainment Command (ASC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal, W52P1J-07-R-0029, to the Army Single Face to Industry Website (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ on or about April 12, 2007 with a closing date of 30 days after issuance. This RFP is for the M107 Projectile MPTS, NSN: 1320-01-053-6687, P/N: 10535925, End Use: 155mm Projectile M107. The RFP shall solicit proposals for a five year, multiple year, firm fixed priced contract. The basic quantity is 152,274 ea with a 150% option available for FY07-FY11 and may be awarded with or without First Article Test (FAT). This competitive solicitation is being restricted to the National Technology and Industrial Base (United States and Canada). The M107 Projectile MPTS is a forged steel projectile body 155mm in diameter, 23.8 long and weighs approximately 77.5 pounds. The shape is ogival with a boat tail for aerodynamic efficiency. A rotating band encircles the shell casing near the base and is protected by a grommet. The production process is complex involving forging, heat treating, machining and band swaging. All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR).
