- DESC: Window Optical, Instrument; NSN: 1240-01-080-7976, Part Number: 12282298, the item to procure is a Window Optical, Instrument manufactured from optical glass, Class 1, type 517-642, Grade 6 per MIL-G-174. Window is .38 inches thick x 1.873 inch es in diameter, has chamfered edges, surfaces are polished and parallel to within five (5) minuted of arc, surface quality is 60-40 and surface accuracy transmitted wavefront to ? fringe irregularity at 630 n.n wavelength. Edges are blackened and faces are coated per MIL-C-675 except that surface reflectance cc shall average- Less than .5%. Requirements are 250 each Window Optical Instrument. FOB is Destination. To be used on the M1 Abrams Tank. Estimated issue date is 15 April 2007. This solicitation wi ll be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
