- Description
- The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dynamic Research Technologies (DRT), Grant City, MO for the purchase of ammunition: 300 Winchester Magnum lead free cartridges. The USSS has converted specially modified Remington Model 700 to 300 Winchester Magnum to conform to state mandates for a lead free projectile. As of this date the only manufacturer who can produce the ammunition that conforms to USSS specifications and is able to deliver the ammunition with 45 days is DRT. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 Circumstances Permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Request to be considered must include a full capability statement and must be received no later than Friday 30 March 2007 at 5 pm EST. **Questions must be emailed to Susan Papa-Provost at susan.papa-provost@usss.dhs.gov or Patricia Kiely at patricia.kiely@usss.dhs.gov not later than Friday 30 March 2007 at 5 EST. Questions received by fax or telephone will not be accepted or acknowledged. The Government anticipates an award date on or about Friday 13 April 2007.
