- General Scope of Work: This subcontract will require integration of geophysical surveys, geophysical modeling, field validation/geophysical prove out, quality assurance, and UXO (submunitions) clearance of approximately 1900 acres in a desert environment at the Tonopah Test Range, Nevada. Specifically, direct experience in geophysical modeling, and detection and clearance of submunitions is required for this project. The Subcontractor must thoroughly demonstrate the following proven capabilities: --Developing and implementing geophysical/statistical models for submunitions (e.g., BLU-26, BLU-63, BLU-97 etc.) that meet a specified confidence level of at least 95% detection while discriminating between target submunitions and innocuous debris. --Detecting and demilitarizing submunitions in the shallow subsurface (surface to one-foot BGS), and detecting and demilitarizing buried ?ordnance-related debris pits? in the subsurface (10-feet BGS maximum). --Providing thorough documentation that the required UXO clearance has been achieved, and Quality Assurance and project objectives have been met. --Providing waste management and disposal of demilitarized ordnance debris. This work requires the development of numerous plans and reports for various stages of the project. The project has an accelerated schedule and may require activities to be completed in parallel. The majority of the work under this subcontract will require completion by 30 Sept 2007. All on-site workers must be United States citizens.
