- The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking sources to provide maintenance for its EMC Symmetrix Storage Devices and associated software which are located at the National Computer Center, Woodlawn, MD and at its Remote Operations Computer Centers in Birmingham, AL and Kansas City, MO. The equipment includes EMC Models M8830, M5030, and M3030 systems, Brocade Switches, and associated features. Software includes Powerpath, Connectrix, MCC-SGR, PKG, Production Manager, and Timefinder License. The maintenance requirement consists of 24 hours 7 days/week coverage, with a 2 (two) hour response time. Firms currently performing support consistent with these requirements are invited to submit complete details. Respondents are asked to provide information about experience and/or capabilities and indicate whether these services are available through your GSA Schedule. Also, respondents are asked to provide three references with similar requirements to what SSA is requesting. Please include a copy of your GSA Schedule if services are available on schedule, to the above address, to the attention of Joan Smith, within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of publication of this announcement. No cost or pricing data is required or requested. This is an information gathering effort only and if further procurement action is taken, additional publication will be done as required. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited. Telephone calls will not be honored. SSA will not provide acknowledgment of responses received. The Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. The Government will not award a contract based on the responses received; however, SSA will use this information to assess capable sources.
