- Description
- The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) intends to extend the period of performance of a sole source contract with John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, 615 North Wolfe Street, Baltimore, MD, 21205 on a firm fixed price (FFP) basis for services in support of the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (ODUSD), Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP), Quality of Life (QOL) Program, specifically in support of Military Child Initiatives. This procurement is to continue support of Military Child Initiatives which focuses on meeting the needs of children of military families who exist in highly mobile circumstances and are least likely to obtain the confidence and security that is gained from being in the same school, which is critical to advancing educationally. This effort will continue to assist those who want to improve student academic success, school/family/community partnerships, student engagement and school climate. This effort will continue to provide national, state and local education agencies, schools, parents, and health professions with information, tools, and services to better understand, educate and support the mobile military child. The Government anticipates extending the period of performance through 30 September 2007. The total price for this extension is estimated at $850K. The proposed contract action is for services in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received will be considered by the Government.
