- This notice is posted as an intent to award a contract for commercial items. The items required under this contract will be deemed brand name in nature in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.211-6 - Brand Name or equal. The soft ware specifications in the purchase request cannot be altered, changed or substituted. This notice is a request for competitive quotations and a notice of the Governments intent to procure the following items.(1) CONNECT: DIRECT WINDOWS CHOICE SERVER: IN CLUDES THREE (3) CONCURRENT SESSIONS INCLUDES TCP/IP PROTOCOL; (1) CONNECT: DIRECT WINDOWS CHOICE SERVER ANNUAL MAINTENANCE; (1) CONNECT: DIRECT WINDOWS SERVER SECURE +; (1) CONNECT: DIRECT WINDOWS SERVER SECURE + ANNUAL MAINTENANCE. JUSTIFCATION FOR INSCOMs PROCUREMENT OF BRAND NAME OR EQUAL items listed above: a. Functionality: This software will enable CCF to test and evaluate other types of FTP software. b. Maintenance: CCF has a limited maintenance staff and by implementing this software, CCF will not experience problems associated with interfacing with OPM systems to transfer documents. c. The specifications in the purchase request cannot be altered, changed or substituted. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 423430 and is associated with the small business size standard of 500 employees. The intent of this notice is solicit competitive quotations, interested sources should respond to this requirement via e-mail to: kzhill@mi.army.mil or via fax to (703) 428-4914. The due date for all quotations is no later than 6 APR 2007 10:00 AM EST. Award of a contract concerning this requirement is anticipated to occur no later than 10 APR 07.
