Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Apptricity Corporation (DBA) Apptricity Government Services, 5605 N. Macarthur Blvd, STE 200, Irving, TX 75038-2630. This procurement i s being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)  only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Apptricity Corporation is the only known source capable of meeting the Governments requiremen ts due to the specialized vendor patent software developed by Apptricity. This software is not available through any other vendors. The purchase of other transportation software will adversely impact the Governments ongoing missions requirements. The Gov ernment intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later that 12:00noon CST on 16 April 2007. S uch capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Elizabeth.j.Kelley@mvk02.usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
