Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for a Nationwide Training Contract on the International Codes for the US Army Corps of Engineers. The contract will provide training throughout the Continental United States and oversees Corps of Engineers offices on the following 2006 International Codes: International Building Code (IBC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Plumbing Code (IPC), and International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). The selected contractor will prepare a training curriculum criteria for specific to the types of facilities being constructed by the Corps of Engineers at Army installations, such as: Barracks (Apartments), Dining Facilities (College Cafeterias), Battalion/Brigade HQs (Office Buildings), Company Operations Facilities (Li ght Industrial Buildings), Tactical Operations Facilities (Heavy Equipment Repair Facilities), and Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility (Heavy Equipment/Vehicle Maintenance Garage). The course(s) will cover chapters and sections of the 2006 IBC, IPC, IM C, and IFGC. Services under this contract will include a base year with 3 option years. The government is seeking sources with the following experience: 1) Minimum of 5 years experience as a training organization. 2) Instructors with: a) Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with codes, interpreting codes, and code compliance plan revie ws. b) Minimum of 5 years experience of teaching building codes. c) ICC certified in the fields in which they teach, with the following as a minimum: i) IBC Instructor shall be ICC certified as Commercial Building Inspector, Building Plans Examiner, and Ac cessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner. ii) IMC & IFGC Instructor shall be ICC certified as Commercial Mechanical Inspector, Mechanical Plans Examiner, and Residential Mechanical Inspector. iii) IPC Instructor shall be ICC certified as Commercial Plumbing In spector, Plumbing Plans Examiner, and Residential Plumbing Inspector. 3) The contractor shall be an International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) authorized provider and an American Institute of Architects/Continuing Education Sys tem (AIA/CES) registered provider.
