- Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, and utilizing FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures the U.S. Army RDECOM - Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick , MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with DuPont, 5401 Jefferson Davis Highway, Richmond, VA 23234. This effort is to provide the Government with 270 ceramic composite panels for testing and evaluation purposes. The Government has a requirement to test and evaluate ballistic panels produced using proprietary methods specific to DuPont. As such, DuPont is the only available source to satisfy the requirement. Therefore the contract will be awarded to DuPont. Ques tions concerning this acquisition may be addressed to the above address, Attention: Mr. Richard R.
