Description
Seeking qualified vendors capable of providing a Gravimetric Sorption Analyzer with Magnetic Suspension Balance, Rubotherm ISOSORP(R) GAS LP-static or equal, to the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY 10996 under a firm-fixed-price contract. On-si te assembly and training in use of the unit are required. There will also be a Contractor Manpower Reporting (CMR) requirement in connection with this procurement. Specifications are as follows: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Specifications for Gravimetric Sorption Analyzer with a Magnetic Suspension Balance (Ordering One Unit) Measures changes in force and mass in samples under controlled environments. Capable of easy and accurate measurement of transport properties such as sorption and diffusion. All accuracies and resolutions must be equal to or better than what is listed bel ow. Unit: Must be equipped with an automatic device for calibrating the electronics during the measurements. Power supply: 120VAC, 10 amperes or less, 60 Hz single phase. Control electronics must be capable of USB interface to a personal computer. The software for the unit shall be included and run on a Windows XP computer and show time, sample chamber temperature, pressure, and sample mass. Must automatically and regularly perform a zero point drift correction (taring) to avoid base line drifts. The balance shall be equipped with a magnetic suspension coupling for separating the measurement electronics from the sample. Sample Chamber: Allows automatic control of pressure, temperature and composition of gases surrounding sample. The atmosphere surrounding the sample must be completely isolated from the atmosphere surrounding the measurement electronics (no mechanical linkages between the sample and the measurement electronics). The sample chamber, and all seals, couplings, and valves to the sample chamber, must be capable of resisting corrosion due to BF3, BCl3, SbF5, HF, AlCl3, and HCl gas. Operational Temperature Range: Inclusive of 77?K to 800?K, automatically controlled by software to an accuracy ?0.01?K and resolution of 0.1?K in the temperature range of 253 to 423?K and an accuracy ?0.1?K and resolution of 0.1?K outside the temperature range of 253 to 423?K. The cooling will come from liquid nitrogen which will be supplied by user. Pressure Range: Control pressure at any specified set-point between 10-6 torr (10-9 bar) to 760 torr (1.0 bar), resolution 0.001 atmosphere, reproducibility ?0.8% Full Scale, stability, 0.1% Full Scale. Vacuum Pump will be supplied by user. Sample Mass: Inclusive of 5 mg to 10 grams in mass, resolution 1 microgram, reproducibility of ?2 micrograms, and a relative error not to exceed 0.002% of measured value. Company shall assemble balance at U.S.M.A. and conduct training in its operation. Minimum one-year comprehensive warranty parts and labor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Interested parties are asked to provide a brief statement of qualifications to perform this contract, including (a) size of business and all applicable designations (e.g., small business, large business, 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, etc.), (b) any deviations from the specifications (including providing full specifications for units other than Rubotherm ISOSORP(R) GAS LP-static), (c) delivery time in number of days ARO, (d) terms of warranty, (e) country/ies of manufacture/or igin for the unit and essential cpomponents, (f) geographical location of interested party, (g) statement as to whether the interested party has made prior sales to USMA and (h) statement as to whether the interested party is currently registered in the C entral Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations & Certifications (ORCA) websites.
