- ****ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE IN FBO IS 2 APRIL 2007****** The Government has need of a Cartridge filter system and filters at each of three campgrounds on the Detroit Ranger District, Willamette National Forest (Breitenbush, Whispering Falls, and Riverside) that are approved in Oregon for 2.0-log giardia and 2.0-log crypto removal. Approved filter systems are the following: Rosedale(Prefilter PS-520-ppp-241, Final Filter GLR-PO-825-2, Flowrate 12 gpm), Strainrite (Prefilter HPM99-CC-2-SR, Final Filter HPM99-CCX-2-SR, Flowrate 20 gpm), and Harmsco (Housing HUR-170-HP and Cartridge PP-H-170-1, Housing HIF-14 and Cartridge Poly Pleat PPD-1, and Prefilter HC-170-5 and Housing HUR-170-HP and Cartridge HC-170-0.35). Installation of the new filter vessels would consist of removal and disposal of old non-compliant filter systems and superfluous plumbing fixtures and installation of new connections and fixtures required to install the new filter vessels. It would also include the installation of new pressure gauges as needed for differential pressure readings across filter assemblies. Connections would be installed as needed to incorporate water quality monitoring equipment and the chlorine disinfection equipment. Installation will include new Sch 80 PVC piping with drain ports and brass/stainless ball valves: drain and manual air vents. Finally, a 20 GPM flow control valve and a filter-to-waste assembly shall be installed to comply with DEQ regulations. All necessary labor, travel to and from the jobite, perdiem allowances, and complete installation as described above would be included in the bid price. Work should be completed by 15 April 2007.
