- Description
- Each year the USDA Forest Service, Forest Health Protection (FHP) staff at 200 East Broadway, Missoula, Montana, conducts aerial detection surveys on approximately 28 million aces in Region One. Polygon, point, and attribute data are recorded drawn on paper USGS topographic maps and on a digital aerial sketchmapper. These paper maps are scanned into computer files and processed into ArcInfo pest coverages by map extent. Polygon, point, and attributed shapefiles created on the sketchmapper are converted into ArcInfo coverages and added to the paper map results. User maps are produced for distribution. This project will be awarded as a firm fixed price, performance based, service commercial item. The performance period is one base year plus one option year. This solicitation will be available on approximately April 11, 2007, and can be downloaded from this site at that time.
