Description

The surfaces must be covered with a material to capture all splash created by impact of bullets on steel. They must be two story structures with at least two stairways to the upper level. Stairs must be constructed of material durable enough to support the weight of five fully loaded Marines simultaneously. The bottom floor must contain at least five individual rooms and a complex hallway. It must contain small spaces to simulate closets and bathrooms. The upper level must have at least three rooms and a hallway. Room sizes may vary but not be smaller than 8 feet x 10 feet except for the closets. Exterior doors must be br eachable and have frames that are stable enough to withstand multiple manual, explosive and mechanical breaches. Windows are not desired. Enclosed spaces must have ventilation equipment to evacuate toxic gases and smoke. Floors must be of a material that is non-combustible for use with smoke grenades and be solid enough to permit movement of portable bullet traps on wheels. The layout for the three shoot houses need not be identical but may be adapted to the specific site that will be used. The site for this temporary training facility will have a level ground condition, and the supplier will be required to provide a packed earth/dross pad where the training structure is to be erected. This structure must meet the current guidelines for existing earthquake specs. All buildings are to be considered non-inhabitable and temporary. The anticipated delivery date will be 90 days after contract award. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation.
