- SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston intends to negotiate a sole source contract with SecuriMetrics Incorporated, 757 Arnold Drive #D, Martinez, CA, 94553, for the following in support of the Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT): ??? one hundred forty six (146) Pier 2.3 B1-001 ??? three hundred forty six (346) Pier-T SMI001 The Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT) system is currently designed and integrated to utilize the required two (2) types of Iris scanners to complete this mission, each developed by SecuriMetrics Incorporated. The two devices are the PIER 2.3 B1-001 and PIER-T SMI001. Among commercially available iris scanning devices, the herein are the only devices capable of interfacing with the BAT software. It is not possible to create the 512-byte Iris Code from a photograph of an iris, meaning the Iris code must be generated by one of the Iris devices above. The above two Iris sensors manufactured by SecuriMetrics, are the only commercially available sensors that will interoperate with the BAT software, and meet operational requirements with zero additional engineering or expenditures. Materials will need to be available to be delivered on or before 30 April 2007. SecuriMetrics is the manufacturer of this equipement and has proprietary rights. A Firm Fixed Price type contract issued under the Test Procedures of FAR Part 13.5 is anticipated. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAIC) Code is 541511 and the size standard is $23M. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
