- Air -2.2.3.6 of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM), located at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland intends to issue a Small Action Purchase (SAP) contract for the maintenance of the calibration laboratory enclosure in support of the Malaysia F/A-18 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program with TAC Americas, 1650 West Crosby Road, Carrollton, TX 75006-6628. This contract will be negotiated on a Sole Source basis with TAC Americas, in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. TAC Americas, the sole designer, and developer, and producer of the calibration laboratory enclosure, is the only firm that possesses the requisite knowledge of the calibration laboratory enclosure and system design, operation, and maintenance to meet the FMS customers? requirements. Only TAC Americas has the calibration laboratory enclosure peculiar engineering data, capability, resources, and expertise to provide the services required by FMS customers. Therefore, TAC Americas? unique qualifications justify the use of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 to permit other than full and open competition for this effort. This synopsis is for informational purposes only however interested parties may submit a capabilities statement which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements shall include all information necessary to determine whether the company is able to fulfill this requirement.
