Description

The Portland District Army Corps of Engineers is conducting a market survey to determine who can provide services for a boom in addition to installing and anchoring the boom at Bonneville Dam, Cascade Locks, Oregon, and The Dalles Dam, in The Dalles, Oregon. The dimensions of the boom are dependent of the products purchased, but will need to be about 300ft to 500ft long, with a screen/other materials that provide a depth of approximately 5 feet. The purpose of this boom will be to help guide fish, esp ecially juvenile fish, through the spill way where life expectancy is calculated at 100% when passing through the Powerhouses. The period of performance of this expected contract is still being determined, but is the Government would like to purchase the booms prior to 30 September 2007, and if feasible, have them installed before 30 September 2007 if possible. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 326199 with a size standard of 500 employees. FSC Code is 1945.
