Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to determine the interests and capabilities of 8(a) firms with regard to an upcoming acquisition for construction services at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA. The firm must be a General Construction company with an approved NAICS Code 237990 and a bonding capacity of approximately $20 million. The contractor shall provide construction services for development of approximately 60 acres of gravesites including 7,000 concrete crypts and 8,000 columbaria niches. Other development will include an administration building, public information building, maintenance buildings, roads, lakes, committal service shelters, an assembly area, utilities, landscape and turf installation and establishment, automatic irrigation system and other infrastructure typical of cemetery development. The estimated cost for this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. 8(a) firms having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses must include the following information: 1. Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address. 2. Business size determination and qualifying small business status. 3. Bonding capacity. 4. Construction experience of similar projects in size and scope. 5. RFI announcement number. E-mail your responses to the Contracting Officer, Candace Wood, at candace.wood@va.gov no later than April 6, 2007. At this time no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION package.
