- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation AG-4740-S-07-0006 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text format at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification code is 332999. A quotation is requested to provide: The purchase of WIRE BALE TIES, 1O GAUGE, and LINE ITEM 0001 THROUGH 0010: 16,575 EACH 10 FEET 3 INCHES; AND LINE ITEM 0011 THROUGH 0013: 3,000 EACH 10 FEET, TO BE DELIVERED TO 13 USDA LOCATIONS. A PRE-PRODUCTION PROTOTYPE WIRE TIE MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH EACH QUOTE AND WILL BE TESTED AND MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE QUOTATION CAN BE ACCEPTED. All quotations and prototypes must be received by the closing date of this solicitation and will be considered best and final. The FAR provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Award will be based on the best value to the Government. Evaluation of quotations will be made on past performance, ability to meet delivery schedule, technical approach, and price. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the FAR provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The FAR clauses at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
