- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Although this is a combined synopsis/solicitation, please refer to the hard copy solicitation available on DIBBS website at http://dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/. You must submit your proposal on the hard copy solicitation. From the DIBBS homepage, select ?Search RFQs? then choose the RFP you wish to download. RFQs are in portable document format (PDF) and to download and view these documents, you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com. A paper copy of the solicitation will not be available to requestors. The solicitation will be issued March 26, 2007 and will close April 6, 2007. THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTION IS TAKEN TO MIL-PRF-2104G DATED 10 FEB 97: ? 1. PARAGRAPH 3.2, MATERIALS, ADD THE FOLLOWING ?THE ENGINE LUBRICATING OIL SHALL CONTAIN 25% MINIMUM RE-REFINED OIL CONTENT. CERTIFICATION TO THIS EFFECT SHALL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER OR THE CONTRACTING OFFICER?S REPRESENTATIVE?. UNITE NEW AND UNUSED STEEL DRUMS CONTAIN 55 GAL. QPL APPLIES. QUALIFICATION: PRODUCTS QUALIFIED AND LISTED ON THE QUALIFIED PRODUCTS LIST FOR SAE J2359 ARE ALSO QUALIFIED FOR MIL-PRF-2104. CRITICAL APPLICATION ITEM. TYPE II Shelf Life, 36 months. This is a commercial item. Solicitation is unrestricted, full and open competition and will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The unit of issue is 55-GL drum. MSDS and hazardous warning labels must be submitted and approved by technical personnel before award. Customer Direct Line of 363 DR to Newport, RI. FOB Destination, inspection and acceptance at destination. Requested delivery 30 days ARO or sooner. This item is not CSI. Automated Best Value Systems (ABVS) applies.
