- Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Maritime Industrial Branch, Hampton Roads Division intends to contract for the following material: Wire Rope in accordance with RR-W-410E; Type 2, 8 x 31, 1-1/2 inch dia; Total Qty required 12,600 ft to be supplied in 14 each 900 ft reels. Complete specifications of the material will be supplied in the written solicitation. The proposed acquisition shall be awarded under a firm fixed-price contract utilizing Simplified Acquisitions procedures as set-forth in FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The applicable NAICS code is 423510 with a Small Business Size Standard of 100 employees. Delivery shall be FOB destination, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. Final acceptance shall occur at destination. The date and time for receipt of offers shall be established in the written solicitation. Contractors are advised that the subject solicitation will NOT be available via the NECO Website. Requests for the solicitation pkg shall be accepted via mail addressed to: FISC NNSY Annex, Bldg 1500 2nd Floor, Attn: Karen England, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000 or via e-mail @ karen.england@navy.mil. FAX AND OR PHONE REQUESTS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All requests for this solicitation shall identify an authorized point of contact and shall include a complete mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, and fax number. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. Important Notice: DFARS 252.204-7004, Alt I, Required Central Contractor Registration applies. Lack of current registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information may be obtained @www.ccr.gov or via telephone # 888-227-2423. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation.
