- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Time and Materials, Cost Reimbursable and firm fixed price contract to McDonnell Douglas, A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company. This contract is for the development, testing, intergration, procurement of modified retrofit kits and of related spares, logistics, upgrades to support equipment, special tooling and test equipment, technical support and installation of Standoff Land Attack Missile Expanded Response ( SLAM ER) modified Weapon Data Link (WDL) as well as any required Guidance system or Mission Planning modifications. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC) is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the SLAM ER weapon system and its related equipment. MDC alone has the experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms, facilities and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with MDC at the following address: McDonnell Douglas Corp. Once NAVAIR finalizes its requirements for the subject effort, a prerequisite for receiving a contract award will be registration in the DODs Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
