Description

Furnish and deliver straight hand or "approved" machine-split Locust Rails (Robinia Pseudoacadia L.), 11 feet in length. Rails shall be 4 ?" to 6" in diameter with 5" being the ideal diameter. Rails shall be stripped of bark. Quotes will be evaluated on the following criteria: 1) submission of approved product sample at least 3 ft. in length; 2) ability to provide quantity (approximately 2800 rails); 3) price. Due to the nature of the product, the contract shall allow for a 12 month delivery schedule to be stated in the Solicitation. The Request for Quotation will be posted to websites: http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about February 13, 2006. No hard copies of the Request for Quotation package will be mailed or issued. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. In order to download a copy of the solicitation, vendors will be asked to register their company with the electronic commerce website. Be prepared with your company's DUNS number, available from Dun and Bradstreet at 1-888-546-0024, and your Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN). All vendors should pre-register to save time, by logging onto the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at the internet site at http://www.ccr.gov . Prospective bidders must register on the Central Contractor Registration website in order to receive awards from federal agencies.
