- The contract consists of maintenance dredging of the Wilmington Harbor, Christina River, Delaware - (a) Dredging will be required to a depth of 35 feet MLW (Christina River Datum) plus 1-foot allowable overdepth within the contract work limits from Station 0+000 to Station 1+975. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the North Channel edge when required dredging depths exist inside the channel along the perimeter of the north edge; (b) Dredging will be required to a depth of 38 feet MLW (Christina River Datum) plus 1-foot allowable overdepth within the contract work limits from Station 1+975 to Station 6+236. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the north channel edge, north turning basin edges, and entranc e widening (flare) from Station 1+975 to Station 6+236, when required dredging depths exist inside the channel and basin, along the perimeter of the aforementioned north limits; (c) No side slopes or end slopes are specified for this contract; (d) Hopper o r bucket dredging shall not be permitted under this contract; (e) The Government-furnished disposal area available for use under this contract is Wilmington Harbor South Disposal Area. Solicitation Number W912BU-07-B-0003 will be issued on or about 2 Apri l 2007 with bid opening date of 2 May 2007. The period of performance is 40 calendar days. Estimated cost range of the project is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 (SIC 1629) with a size standard of $18.5 million. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage located at https://www.fedteds.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FedTeDS Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation documents/informatio n. FedTeDS registration requires the following information: CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), DUNS Number or CAGE Code, Telephone Number, E-mail Address. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FedTeDS for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 are required by legislation (FAR 22.1310(b)) to submit an a nnual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. All contractors must be registere d in the DODs Central Contractor Registration database as required by DFARS 204.7300. Davis Bacon rates will be applicable to the construction and bonding is required. Please review all bonds and accompanying documents required to be submitted. Affirmati ve action to insure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Liquidated damages will be specified. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder.
