- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, is seeking potential 8(a) sources to install static starters and main circuit breakers at the Richard B. Russell Hydroelectric Power Plant, Elbert County, GA. The contractor will be installing Go vernment furnished equipment SF6 circuit breakers, transformers, static frequency converters, Iso-phase bus work, and associated controls. Most of the equipment is rated at 13.8KV. Work will be done in an operational hydroelectric power plant. Schedul ing will be CRITICAL. Generating unit outage durations MUST be met. Stringent safety and security requirements will be enforced. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1796 and the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) cod e is 238210. The size standard for this NAICS is $12 million. No solicitation is currently available.
