- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W31P4Q-07-T-1017 is being issued as a request for quote. The US Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to issue a contract for the following requirement: 320 Bloc ks of Rolled Homogenous Armor (RHA), produced to Military Standard Specification MIL-A 12560CL-I. Each Block shall be 2 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches in size. These Blocks shall be provided for Government inspection and used for research and developmen t testing to determine penetration of fragments from various types of explosive devices. Any additional costs for shipping RHA Blocks FOB destination to Redstone Arsenal, AL and the estimated delivery timeframe after receipt of order (ARO) shall be includ ed on quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. CLIN 0001 will be issued for the following items and quantities: 320 Blocks of Rolled Homogenous Armor (RHA), produced to Military Standard Specification MIL-A 12560CL-I, with each Block being 2 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches in size, plus any additional shipping costs for FOB destination Redstone Arsenal, AL. The place of delivery, acceptance, and FOB Destina tion point is Central Receiving, Building 8022, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, 35898, marked for the attention of Joey Reed, AMSRD-AMR-PS-PT. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency, if received by 23 March 2007, no on (CST). Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on Standard Form 1449 and will contain all clauses required by law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for th e dollar value of the award. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial; Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items; Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; and Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, are applicable to this acquisition.
