- Restrictions: This is modification 0001 to subject combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement con stitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number W91248-07-Q-0004 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005- 15, dated 13 February 2007. NAICS is 561730; business size is $6.5M; acquisition is 100% setaside for Hubzone Business Concerns. Description: Modification 0001 Closing date remains unchanged as: 19 March 2007, 1:00 PM CST. Questions, answers, and changes to this solicitation follows: Question 1. Is there any requirement to pay vacation pay to new employees we may hire that ha ve previously worked for other contractors on this project. Answer 1. See Wage Determination No: 05-2187, Rev 02, Paragraph entitled Vacation; Question 2. Will there be a secure location where we may store our equipment overnight? Answer 2. No; Quest ion 3. How much lower does a bid have to be to have the solicitation split up to the different contracts? Answer 3. The Government can make multiple awards based on what is most advantageous to the government; Question 4. What are the mowing days and mowing hours? Answer 4. See Statement of Work (SOW), paragraph 4.3.2.; Question 5. What are the amendments to item no 0003aa and 0003ab? Answer 5. See attached revised bid schedule. Line Item 0003AA is changed to read Level III: Maintain grass at 7 inches to 14 inches Height this includes a 3 diameter around Taxiway Lighting which shall be maintained at 1 1/2 inches Height Cut (includes all vegetation trimming/removal IAW Vegetation Maintenance, Paragraph 1.1.2) Total estimates acreage for this lev el is 1083 acres, of which 850 acres consists of grass, Locations: Airfield and Vicinity, 1 Each. Line Item 0003AB is changed to read Level III: Cut grass at a 2 inches - 5 inches Height Cut this includes a 3 diameter around Taxiway Lighting which shall be maintained at 1 1/2 inches Height Cut (includes all vegetation trimming/removal IAW Vegetation Maintenance, Paragraph 1.1.2) Total estimated acreage of grass for this level is 1015, Locations: Airfield and Vicinity, 3 Months. Initial Bid Schedule ha s been deleted and replaced with attached revised Bid Schedule; changes are highlighted in BOLD. Reference Statement of Work; page 8 is hereby replaced with revised page 8 and changes are highlighted in BOLD. Attached are drawings for: Back Area Roads an d Road Shoulders Line Item 0004 and Cemeteries Line Item 0006. Attached is the Sign In Sheet for Site Visit held on 13 March 2007.
