- Amendment 0001 has been uploaded and Purchase Description Revision 2 has been uploaded. 3/15/2007 Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, AFMETCAL, 813 Irving Wick Dr. W., Heath, OH 43056-6116 Description AFMETCAL Det 1 intends to award a firm fixed price Indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) commercial contract with a five-year ordering period. The requirement is for the purchase of a Geometry Measuring System. The proposed item must meet the requirements of AFMETCAL Purchase Description 1M-06-MLEM-MSR-01 dated 1 June 2005. The guaranteed quantity is 1 each however we anticipate issuing orders for 11 in FY06 with a total quantity of 16 each over a five year period. Contingent upon the availability of funds some of the anticipated quantity may be ordered in FY 09 and FY10 or may not be ordered at all. Offerors will be required to provide pricing based on quantity ranges of 1-8 and 9-16 in each of Fiscal years 06-10. Data including operation, maintenance, calibration manuals and an extended warranty of up to five-years is required with each unit. These units will be shipped to AFMETCAL Det1 in Heath OH. Delivery shall be FOB destination. The first unit ordered will be considered a first production unit and will undergo extensive testing. Other units ordered may not be shipped until the First production unit has passed testing. All units will require acceptance testing to ensure they meet the purchase description. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued approximately 8 February 2006 with a due date of 28 February 2006. The solicitation package including purchase description and data requirements will be available for viewing and downloading at the Fedbizopps site. FAX and email responses are acceptable.
