- NOTE: THE RFQ NUMBER HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM BELOW TO: RFP (Request for Proposal): VA-261-07-RP-0053 RFQ: VA-261-07-RQ-0045 Due: Mar. 30, 2007 Request for Quote - Biohazardous Waste Pickup at the following locations: VA Palo Alto Health Care System and associated outpatient clinics, San Francisco VA Medical Center and associated outpatient clinics, VA Northern California Health Care System (Martinez) and associated outpatient clinics and one outpatient clinic under VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (Reno) located in Auburn, CA. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and appropriately sanitized, disinfected and labeled containers, except for "sharps" needle containers. The contractor shall also provide all supplies, materials, transportation and supervision required to provide pick-up, transport, incineration and/or acceptable disposition of biomedical infections waste, pharmaceutical and veterinary waste, chemotherapy waste, biological/pathological waste, contaminated waste and Government "sharps containers". This contract is expected to have a one year base period with four option years thereafter. This is a presolicitation announcement; the actual solicitation should be posted on or about 3/6//07, with award anticipated on 4/17/07. NAICS Code is 562112, size standard $11.5 million.
