- Description
- The National Hansen?s Disease Programs, Baton Rouge LA seeks to award a contract for linen services to support patient care, animal care, laboratory and service functions. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation and facilities necessary to perform contractor owned/contractor operated laundry/linen services. All linen to be provided by the contractor and includes patient room items (sheets, towels, bedspreads, etc), clinic laundry items (wraps, lab coats, scrubs) and research/laboratory laundry items (wraps, scrubs and lab coats). Lab coats are required to be personalized. The vendor shall wash and process in full compliance with all relevant Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) rules and regulations as well as all applicable federal, state and local government regulations regarding control of infectious diseases in health care facilities, the linen and return it to the government free of soil, stains and pathogenic or other contaminant agents. Pick-up and delivery will be to NHDP- Carville, 5445 Point Clair Road, Carville LA 70121 and NHDP-Lab Research, LSU-SVM, Skip Bertman Drive, Baton Rouge LA 70813. Acquisition will be conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13 and other FAR parts as applicable. The base period of the contract shall be the effective date of contract award through September 30, 2007 with option to renew for up to three additional one-year periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 812332; the size standard is $13.0 million. The RFP will be posted at the Government website at www.fbo.gov under HHS, Health Resources and Services Administration, BPHC/National Hansen's Disease Programs, Posted Dates on or about March 28, 2007. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the site for amendments to the solicitation. Solicitation will be conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and 13. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be approximately thirty (30) days after issuance/posting of the RFP.
