- This solicitation is for herbicide application using mechanical equipment on the Department of Energy?s Savannah River Site (SRS) outside Aiken, SC. The contractor will perform site preparation and mid story release ground broadcast herbicide applications. The contractor shall possess a valid South Carolina state commercial pesticide applicators license or a license from a state with a reciprocal agreement. The resulting indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract will be a commercial performance based service contract with a base period and four option years. The size standard is $6.0 million. Solicitation should be available on this web site on or about 30 March 2007. There will be a site visit held. Details will be included in the solicitation. SRS is a restricted access Government facility. A minimum of 72 hours is required to process any security badge requests for U.S. Citizens and up to 30 days could be required for non-U.S. citizens. Contractors should pay close attention to the deadlines to submit information required to gain access for site visit included in the solicitation. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration as prescribed by FAR Clause 52.204-7. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Contractor needs to have completed annual representation and certifications electronically via the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov/orca. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation.
