- The USDA Forest Service Jacobs Creek Job Corp Center located at 984 Denton Valley Rd. Bristol, TN 37620 is a residential, educational and vocational training facility for student?s ages 16 to 25 years of age. The mission of the Job Corps is to provide academic, vocational and life learning skills to youths at-risk. The Jacobs Creek Job Corps Center has a requirement for an Instructor for the Security Officer?s Training program. This requirement is advertised in accordance with the Acquisition of Commercial Items, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12. This requirement has been 100% Set-aside for Small Business. The performance period is 336 calendar days, July 01, 2007 through June 30, 2008. Prior to award the contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database located at http://www.ccr.gov. The NAICS code for this project is 611519 and the small business size standard is $6.5 million. All responsible sources that meet the outlined criteria may submit a proposal. The Government plans to award a firm fixed price contract for a base period with 4 option years. A contract will be awarded without discussions resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation that will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors as outlined in the solicitation considered. Labor, services, transportation, insurance, permits and license/certifications and all other materials as required by the state of Tennessee and the Department of Labor will be provided by the Contractor to complete the work as described (except for Government-furnished property or facilities as outlined in the solicitation.) The solicitation will be posted to this website-FedBizOpps-for downloading and will provide all necessary information for offerors to prepare and submit a proposal. Responses to the solicitation must be received by close of business, as indicated in the solicitation. Fax and e-mail responses will be accepted.
